1- LPR: AFU shell Republican territory 9 times over past day

The Ukrainian military shelled the Lugansk People’s
Republic territory nine times over the past day.
It has been reported by the LPR People’s Militia headquarters.
“Over the past day on the part of the Armed Forces of
Ukraine there were registered nine ceasefire regime violations on
the LPR
People’s Militia positions in the area of the localities of Sokolniki,
Kalinovo, Pervomaisk and the monument to the Price Igor,’ pointed out Defense
Ministry representative.”
According to the People’s Militia, the shellings were
carried out with mortars of 82mm and 120mm caliber and grenade launchers from
the direction of the localities of Krymskoye, Stanitsa Luganskaya, Troitskoye
and Papasnaya controlled by the Ukrainian military.
Altogether on the Republican territory as a result of the
shellings there were launched about 152 shells.
“Fortunately, there are no injured people,’ pointed out
the headquarters representative.”

The Russian representation to the Joint Center for
Control and Coordination (JCCC) is to investigate the fact of using the MRLS
“Grad” by the Ukrainian military on the night of August 19.
It has been reported by the DPR Defense Ministry
representative.
“The JCCC Russian military officers are to investigate
the night shelling of the Novaya Maryevka locality with the MRLS “Grad” on the
part of the Ukrainian military. A patrol is going to examine the bombardment
place,’ pointed out the Donetsk People’s Republic Defense Ministry
representative.”
The representative of the Defense Ministry added that the
investigation results would be handed over to the Special Monitoring Mission
OSCE observers.
“It is known that as a result of the shelling, there are
destructions in the locality. The OSCE has already received all the data on the
fact of the shelling,’ summed up the representative of the DPR Defense
Ministry.”
Earlier it was informed that on the night of August 19,
the Ukrainian military had shelled the locality of Novaya Maryevka of the
Telmanovo district with the MRLS “Grad”.

The situation in the Donetsk People's Republic has not
changed and remains tense.
Over the past day the Ukrainian punishers violated the
ceasefire regime 428 times.
The enemy keeps using artillery for shelling the
Republic's territory.
In total there were launched 138 artillery
projectiles of 122mm and 152mm calibre, and 228 shells, including 128
of 120mm calibre. Besides, the enemy opened fire from infantry fighting
vehicles, grenade launchers and small arms.
The murderers of their own people Gorbatiuk, Vodolazsky,
Zabolotny, Zubanich, Goraz and Panchenko directed the bombardments of such
Republic’s localities as Zaitsevo, Golmovsky, Gorlovka, Yasinovataya,
Vasilievka, Mineralnoye, Yakovlevka, Staromikhailovka, Aleksandrovka,
Yelenovka, Signalnoye, Dokuchayevsk, Yasnoye, Belaya Kamenka, Kominternovo
and Sakhanka.
No casualties registered among either civilians, or
soldiers of the DPR People's Republic. 20 houses sustained damage as a
result of the shellings of the localities of Zaitsevo, Gorlovka,
Yasinovataya, Dokuchayevsk and the Petrovsky district of Donetsk
city.
We also continue registering the movement of the AFU
equipment forbidden by the Minsk Agreements near the contact line:
-- In Novotroitskoye (8 km away from the contact
line) there were detected three 122mm motorised howitzers ‘Gvozdika’;
-- In Granitnoye (0,5 km away from the contact
line) there was detected one unit of MRLS ‘Grad’ and four 120mm
mortars;
-- In Novogrigorovka (3 km away from the contact
line) there were detected three tanks;
-- In Donskoye (24 km away from the contact line)
there was detected the arrival of 400 personnel of the 2nd separate
motorised infantry battalion ‘Goryn’.
There was registered enemy's conducting air
reconnaissance with application of the UAVs. Along the whole contact line there
was detected operation of the UAVs which were carrying out fire adjustment of
artillery divisions.
All the data on violations of the Minsk Agreements were
passed the OSCE and JCCC representatives.
The Ukrainian military again fired from 122 mm calibre
weapons at observation post of the Russian representation in the Joint Center
on Control and Coordination of the ceasefire regime (JCCC) at night leading to
an ignition of a warehouse. No casualties reported. From August 15, 2016 till
up to now the Ukrainian military fired the JCCC observation posts in the
Donetsk People's Republic from 122 mm calibre artillery and small arms for the
third time already.
There is noted the increased activity of the Ukrainian
intelligence agencies and military counterintelligence in the "ATO"
zone aimed at identification the military personnel disloyal to the Ukrainian
military and political leaders. This personnel category is detained by
intelligence agencies of Ukraine without any explanations and brought to a
pre-trial detention center in Dnepropetrovsk. These actions are connected with
the fact that the opinion on support of the People's Republics and also
sabotaging of Ukraine's criminal military command’s orders started prevailing
in the AFU.
The press service of the 'ATO' headquarters doesn't
provide population with such kind of information, but spreads real
nonsense regarding the DPR Armed Forces allegedly firing with mortar shells of
82 mm calibre with marking "Russia – the Iskra plant". You can
see the real shell's tail of 82 mm calibre without any markings.
This message is a striking example of absurdity the
high ranks in security agencies of Ukraine have come to. Whipping up tension,
accusing us of shelling the territories under Kiev's control, and also
deliveries of arms and ammunition to Donbass by Russia, is a symptom of the
Ukrainian authorities’ hysteria following the unsuccessful attempts to carry
out terrorist acts of in the Republics. The similar statements are also made to
derive the attention of their own population from the facts of receiving
military aid from the western curators, and also internal economic and social
problems which will sooner or later become the reason of another
"Maidan".

4- Yatsenyuk demands granting Ukraine NATO defensive weapons

The former prime minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk
insists that NATO should provide Kiev with "defensive arms", reports
Financial Times.
According to the edition, Yatsenyuk recognized importance
of the military aid which has been provided by North Atlantic Alliance already.
Nevertheless, he stated that Ukraine needs "a more comprehensive aid
package."
"We are grateful and highly appreciate the NATO’s
decision to grant Ukraine the so-called aid package, but… in my strong opinion,
Ukraine needs defensive weapons," said Yatsenyuk.
For the first time Ukraine declared the need to provide
it with the weapon two years ago, but the NATO members "aren't minded to
build up the military aid to Kiev," writes Financial Times.

The lawyer of former Ukrainian President Viktor
Yanukovich has appealed to the Ukrainian General Prosecutor’s Office to let
Yanukovich, accused of large-scale bribe-taking, confront senior Ukrainian
officials in face-to-face questioning via link-up.
The officials he requests to appear for the questioning
are President Poroshenko, former Prime Minister Arseny Yatsenyuk, Speaker
Andrei Parubiy, National Security and Defense Council Secretary Alexander
Turchinov and Kiev Mayor Vitaly Klichko.
“An official motion (for face-to-face with Ukraine’s top
officials) was entered to the General Prosecutor’s Office on Tuesday,"
Vitaly Serdyuk said.”
Besides, the defense also requests an interrogation
session with a number of other unnamed persons at the same time for testimony
on the "Maidan case", reports TASS.
The defense asks for examination via a video-conference
in court, as "only testimony in the court is decisive," Serdyuk
explained.
At the same time, the edition said the Office’s
department for special investigations has not received the motion of
Yanukovich’s lawyer.

на Украине во многом произошёл из-за неконструктивной позиции Запада.
