The
Ukrainian army shelled the front line territories of the Donetsk People’s
Republic almost 50 times over the past day.
It
has been reported by Eduard Basurin, the Deputy Commander of the DPR Operative
Command,
at the briefing.
‘The situation in the Donetsk People’s Republic remains relatively
calm. Altogether, the Ukrainian military shelled the territory of the Republic
49 times over the past day,’ pointed out the Deputy Commander.
He
pointed out that the AFU had used the artillery of 122mm caliber and mortars of
82mm and 120mm caliber. There were fired 10 shots and launched 28 mortar
shells. The enemy used grenade launchers, small arms and infantry fighting
vehicles as well.
‘The shellings, in conflict with orders of the Ukrainian military
command, at the Republican localities were carried out by the fighters of the
46th separate special operations battalion the Donbass-Ukraina under the
command of the colonel V.V.Vlasyenko and by the servicemen of the 16th separate
infantry battalion of the 58th separate infantry brigade of the Armed Forces of
Ukraine, under the authority of brigade commander and colonel S.V. Zabolotny,’
summed up Eduard Basurin.

The
supporter number of Ukraine’s joining the NATO exceeds already the opponent
number of joining the Alliance. It has been reported by Petro Poroshenko at the
session of the Verkhovna Rada.
‘All that we are carrying out in the defense field, we are making
it, strongly holding a compass, a needle of which is pointing at the North
Atlantic. In fact, the compass is a key element of the NATO emblem. And it
orients us towards the full compatibility with the Alliance standards. In what
connection, not only in the military sphere.
‘We have gone out on the unprecedented level of cooperation with
the Alliance countries that we are going to raise to the full attainment of the
membership criteria. Our strategic goal is to join the NATO. It is important
that for 2,5 years the number of the supporters of joining the NATO has
extremely increased and it essentially exceeds the opponent number,’ pointed
out Poroshenko.
However,
according to him, it is important not to frighten the officials in the NATO
itself.
‘In the Alliance there is no consensus on the membership of
Ukraine. Yes, the door is formally opened, starting with the Bukharest summit
taking place in 2008. But, these doors are touchtone and can rapidly close when
there is very fast movement,’ pointed out Poroshenko.

The
so-called president of Ukraine Poroshenko has condemned the idea to possibly
hold a referendum on giving Donbass the independence which was voiced by the
Verkhovna Rada's MP Victoria Syumar.
Poroshenko,
addressing the so-called Ukrainian parliament, has declared that the opponents
of Donbass reintegration motivate that the population of Donetsk and Lugansk
won't vote for the pro-Western parties.
"The residents of Donbass differ from others, they will vote
not for us, pull to the east, and we strive for the western way of life. Of
course, nobody tells it openly, but the slyness is read between lines. This
philosophy is unacceptable for me", Poroshenko has declared.
The restoration of Ukraine's territorial integrity in borders of
the 1991 will be the main goal for me. I will be fighting for that, he added.

The preliminary
voting in the Donetsk People’s Republic was set on October 2. It has been
pointed out by Oleg Balykin, at the briefing.
‘At the session taking place on September 1, 2016 the temporary
election commission decided to set a date of holding the preliminary voting at
the elections of the candidates for MPs of local Councils and for the positions
of local Heads on October 2nd, 2016 and to establish a primaries venue in
Donetsk City,’ pointed out Oleg Balykin.
It
should be noted that on the eve there was published the provision on holding
the primaries in the Donetsk People’s Republic.

Donetsk

UNO special representative on the issue of internally displaced people’s rights
is going to visit two temporary settlements of forced migrants in Donetsk.
It
has been reported by the DPR Ombudsman’s office press office.
‘Today, on September 6, the chief clerk of the DPR Ombudsman
Dmitry Popov and the special representative of the United Nation Organization
on the issue of the internally displaced people’s rights Chakola Beiani are to
visit two temporary settlements of the forced migrants in Donetsk,’ reported by
the press office.
It
is waited that during his visit, the UNO representative is to examine the
problems, the forced migrants deal with and to have a look at the measures of
their solutions.
Beiani
represented the information received in his report in front of the UNO Council
on the Human Rights.
