The Donetsk
People's Republic supports intention of Austria to try to achieve peaceful
settlement of the conflict in Donbass during presidency of this country in
OSCE, stated today the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the DPR Natalya
Nikonorova, commenting on the statement of the Austrian colleague.
"If
intentions of the Foreign Minister of Austria Sebastian Kurz are really
directed on settlement and
dialogue with parties to the conflict, we
unambiguously support them," said Nikonorova.
She emphasized
that the DPR authorities seek for constructive dialogue for peace-making, for
observance of all the norms of international humanitarian law and following the
standards of Bureau on democratic institutes and human rights of OSCE at the
organization of local elections in Donbass.
"Yesterday
the work of political group in Minsk was blocked by the Ukrainian
representatives because of absence of their official position concerning the
"road map", amnesty and modalities of elections. We hope that
pressure of Europe will amplify, and Ukraine will begin to implement the Minsk
Agreements," reminded Nikonorova.

The Ukrainian authorities ignore the Office
of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights
(OHCHR)'s appeals to investigate massacres on Kiev's Maidan square
and in the southern Ukrainian town of Odessa, which left dozens
of civilians dead, the OHCHR said in a report Thursday, informs Sputnik.
The UN Human Rights Office "remains
concerned that the authorities have still not taken appropriate measures
to ensure effective investigations into the 2 May 2014 events
[Odessa massacre], nor to protect the independence of the
judiciary," says the report.
The report also recommends that the law
in Ukraine is amended to allow prosecutions for all killings
that took place during the Maidan events in February 2014.
"OHCHR is concerned that the investigation
into the killings of 13 law enforcement agents has been hampered
by the provisions of the law of 21 February 2014, which provides
that all people who participated in mass protests and are suspected or
accused of crimes are exempted from criminal responsibility,"
reads the report.

The
situation in the zone of responsibility of the People’s Militia remains tense.
Yesterday,
the Ukrainian punishers from the 24th, 28th and 54th separate mechanized and
the 59th separate mechanized infantry brigades, on order of their pro-Nazi
commanders, seventeen times shelled our
positions in the area of the localities Slavyanoserbsk, Golubovskoye,
Zhelobok,
Donetsky,
Maryevka,
Almaznaya,
Kalinovo,
Lozovoye,
Molodyezhnoye
and the Cont
Igor monument.
In
shelling the punishers used:
-
infantry fighting vehicles, 15 rounds made;
- 82mm mortars, 73 mortar shells launched;
- automatic and anti-tank grenade launchers, 6 rounds made;
- small arms.

The
Ukrainian military authorities continue to use their Western patrons’ help, as
well as use foreign mercenaries’ services.
In
particular, in the locality of Valuyskoye, our intelligence
detected the location of eighty Polish mercenaries.
In the
area of the locality of Prishib, near the contact line,
arrived an unidentified Ukrainian volunteer battalion, among the personnel of
which there were noted twenty black-skinned military
wearing the uniform and carrying the equipment of NATO countries.
In
addition, our intelligence reports that in the near future, the headquarters of
the so-called «ATO» plan to deliver to the contact line with the DPR and LPR of
seven
radio-relay counterbattery stations transferred to Ukraine by the United States
of America as a friendly assistance.
At the
same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to violate the terms of storage
of heavy weapons along the contact line, provided by the Minsk Agreements, as
well as they use the cease-fire regime to build up the military potential of
their units in the area of the so-called «ATO».
In
particular, according to our intelligence, at the railway station in the
locality of Rubezhnoye, arrived a train on the
freight platforms of which were about thirty T-64 tanks and motorized
artillery systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. By their appearance, it can
be concluded that the equipment is old, but re-conditioned and re-painted.
These
facts once again confirm that the oligarch Kiev authorities do not intend to
have a peaceful dialog with the official representatives of the People’s
Republics; on the contrary, they are doing everything possible to destabilize
the situation in the east of Ukraine.

The
situation in the Donetsk People’s Republic remains tense.
Over the
past day the Ukrainian military shelled the territory of the Republic four
hundred forty-nine times. The enemy launched sixty
152 and 122mm projectiles, a hundred twenty-six 120mm
mortar shells and a hundred twenty-four 82mm
mortar shells. In addition, the enemy used in shelling infantry fighting
vehicles, grenade launchers and small arms.
The war
criminals continued to shell the following localities: Zaytsevo,
Yasinovataya,
Staromikhaylovka,
Dokuchaevsk,
Elenovka,
Belaya
Kamyanka,
Kominternovo,
Sakhanka,
the
Petrovsky district and the airport of Donetsk
city.
As a
result of artillery bombardments of the Petrovsky district of Donetsk
city, there were wounded two women (Svetlana Belokon
born in 1981 and Tatyana Melnikova born in 1955). In addition, the shelling of the
Petrovsky district of Donetsk city and the localities Kominternovo
and Staromikhaylovka
resulted in two houses destroyed and eight
damaged.
The
orders to shell were given by «heroes» of Ukraine Ryabokon, Vodolazsky,
Gorbatyuk, Delyatitsky and Voylokov.
We
passed all the data about the Minsk Agreements violations to representatives of
the OSCE and JCCC.
We
continue to record the strengthening of the enemy’s group in violation of the
previously concluded Minsk Agreements.
- In Ostroye
(11 km away from the contact line) there were detected four
122mm howitzers D-30;
- In Pobeda (6 km away from the contact line) there was detected the arrival of three MLRS «Grad».

The
Ukrainian military command continues to destabilize the situation along the
contact line.
One of
these facts was the shelling of the locality of Yasinovataya with 122 and 152mm
artillery by the 58th separate mechanized infantry brigade, the commander of
which is Zabolotny who personally took the decision to open fire. I would like
to note that the shelling was carried out against the background of the meeting
of the Contact group in Minsk. Such a decision could have been taken only by a
true criminal and punisher not wishing the conflict in Donbass to resolve
peacefully. Another "ideological ally" of Zabolotny is the commander
of the 10th separate mountain assault brigade Zubanich who ordered the shelling
of the civilian locality of Staromikhaylovka.
The
enemy continues to carry out provocations against the DPR units in order to
force us to violate the Minsk agreements.
In
particular, units of the 13th battalion of the 58th separate mechanized
infantry brigade, tried once again to break through the defense of the DPR
units near the locality of Arkhangelskoye, but were stopped by
the fire from the authorized weapons and repelled, suffering losses of up to five
men killed. A similar attempt was made by units of the 1st battalion of the
30th separate mechanized brigade near the locality of Maryinka,
which were also repelled to their positions by return fire, with another four
men killed and up to seven wounded.
At the
same time, our intelligence confirmed the fact of work of the commission headed
by the commander of the brigade, Colonel V.Yakubov in the location of the 1st
and 2nd battalions of the 30th separate mechanized infantry brigade, during
which was revealed theft of petroleum products in large volumes in the 2nd
battalion. Under the pretext of refueling the equipment located apart, fuel was
taken from vehicles with a view to further sale. The situation is being
investigated.
By their
actions, the AFU commanders demonstrate their attitude towards the peace
process, the favorable outcome of which will cause them to appear before a
public court and answer for their numerous crimes, as well as for the deaths of
their subordinates who they treat like tin soldiers.

The
renaming of populated localities as part of Ukraine’s infamous de-communization
campaign is a bluff, which distracts the Ukrainian people’s attention from
society’s real problems, stated Frants Klintsevich, the first deputy head of
the Russian Federation Council Committee for Defense and Security, reported TASS.
"The
renaming campaign is an obvious attempt to deceive the Ukrainian people and
distract them from the real problems, which are tearing the society apart. It
is just an imitation of change," the lawmaker told commenting
Verkhovna Rada’s decision to rename the city of Kirovograd into Kropivnitsky
[after Ukrainian actor and playwright Mark Kropivnitsky].
According
to Klintsevich, de-communization is another campaign to substitute serious,
meticulous, unhurried but consistent work to take Ukraine out of the grave
crisis. He believes that this imaginary and narrow-minded reformation work is a
direct way to conservation of the worst things from the past in Ukrainian
society.
"I
do not want to be a prophet, but the enormous moral and even economic effects
of the renaming campaign will be inevitable in Ukraine,"
stressed Klintsevich.
