1- Poroshenko Orders Highest Combat Readiness Near Crimea, in Donbass

11.08.2016, Sputnik International http://sputniknews.com (Russia)

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko ordered Thursday to put all military units near the border with Crimea and in Donbass on high combat readiness.

"Held a meeting with the leadership of defense agencies and the foreign ministry…ordered to put all units
near the administrative border with Crimea and along the entire line of contact in Donbass on high readiness," Poroshenko said on Twitter.

The move comes a day after the Russian Federal Security Service said it had foiled terrorist attacks in Crimea organized by the Ukrainian main intelligence directorate, and stamped out a spy ring detaining both Russian and Ukrainian nationals involved in the plot. Two Russian officers were killed.

Kiev has been conducting a military operation against Donbass independence supporters since spring 2014, when they refused to recognize the new coup-imposed Ukrainian government and declared sovereignty.

The Minsk deal on Ukraine's reconciliation was struck in February 2015 by Russia, Ukraine, Germany and France and later signed by Kiev and the Donbass self-proclaimed republics of Donetsk and Lugansk. Both warring parties have repeatedly accused each other of violating the truce despite agreeing to the ceasefire deal.

Crimea rejoined Russia after a 2014 referendum in which over 96 percent of the Crimean population voted in favor of reunification. Sevastopol, which has a federal city status, supported the move by 95.6 percent of the votes.

2- DPR Head Aleksandr Zakharchenko’s comment on order to strengthen AFU battle readiness in conflict zone

Thursday, August 11, 2016 - 18:19, DONi Donbass International News Agency https://dninews.com (Donbass)

I told a lot of times that Kiev prepared the global provocative act that would take place in August. It is happening.

Kiev rather starts the military actions here in Donbass than in the Crimea. Because it is afraid of dealing with the Russian Federation. It still hopes to master us with military force.

Kiev made a mistake. We will be able to give such a battle to it that it will wake at its home, at Bankovoi and Grushevskogo. But if Kiev wants to check, well let it go forward and make sure. We are waiting.

And we told a lot of times about the fact that Ukraine has become a terrorist state. It is enough to recollect hundreds of terrorist attack carried out by Kiev against our civilians. The whole world has made sure about it after carrying out terrorist attack attempt against the Crimea as in against Russian civilians on the Russian territory.

It is known how people behave to terrorists - waste them in  the shithouse. And of course people do not negotiate with them.

It tells about readiness to proceed to active military actions.

3- Ukrainian subverters’ actions in Crimea aimed at provoking war against Russian Federation

Thursday, August 11, 2016 - 16:39, DONi Donbass International News Agency https://dninews.com (Donbass)

The Ukrainian subverters in the Crimea tried to provoke the Russian Federation into reaction operations and into initiating the hostilities on the peninsula. Such a view was expressed by Denis Pushylin, the DPR Delegation to the Minsk Negotiations Head and Republican People’s Council Chairman.

‘The suberters’ aim in the Crimea is the provocative actions chain. All of this can lead to the serious consequences - to the military actions,’ pointed out the Parliament Chairman.

‘We know very well that it is. It can be tied up with very serious aggravation we have got. We can see the same dates when there is an assassination attempt on the LPR Head and approximately on the same days - (the events) in the Crimea. They are trying to provoke the Russian Federation, to force Russia make counteractions,’ added Denis Pushylin.

Pushylin explained that Kiev needed to deflect world community’s attention away from the difficult economic status in the country.

4- Russia's FSB Prevents Terrorist Attacks in Crimea Prepared by Ukrainian Intel

10.08.2016, Sputnik International http://sputniknews.com (Russia)

The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) prevented terrorist acts in Crimea plotted by Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) said Wednesday that it had prevented terrorist attacks in Crimea prepared by the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's intelligence services.

"The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation prevented terrorist acts in the Republic of Crimea, prepared by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense's Main Intelligence Directorate," the FSB said in a statement.

According to the security service, the attacks were set to target the peninsula's key infrastructure and facilities.

"The goal of the sabotage and terrorist acts was to destabilize the sociopolitical situation before and during the election of federal and regional authorities," the FSB said.

One FSB officer was killed during the counterterrorist operation.

“As a result of search operations on the night from August 6 to August 7, 2016, a group of saboteurs was discovered near the town of Armyansk in the Crimean Republic. An FSB officer died as a result of a firefight during the arrest,” the FSB said.

Twenty improvised explosive devices, ammunition and other weapons at the disposal of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been uncovered at the site, the service added.

FSB Stamps Out Ukrainian Defense Ministry's Spy Ring in Crimea
The FSB said that it had eliminated a spy ring organized by the Ukrainian Defense Ministry in Crimea, detaining both Russian and Ukrainian nationals involved in preparing terrorist attacks on the peninsula.

"An agent network [created] by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense's Main Intelligence Directorate has been eliminated. Ukrainian and Russian nationals involved in the preparation of terrorist acts have been detained and are confessing," the FSB said in a statement.

The Federal Security Service also said it had prevented two overnight attempts by Kiev-organized terrorist groups from entering Crimea.

Russia’s border with Ukraine has been reinforced and security at places of mass gathering and key infrastructure facilities in Crimea has been stepped up.

“Additional security measures in public and recreational places have been adopted, including the protection of critical infrastructure. The boundary regime on the border with Ukraine has been strengthened,” the FSB said.

A criminal investigation has been opened into an attempted act of terrorism filed late last week and claimed to be directed by the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's intelligence service, it added.
The Federal Security Service also said it had prevented two overnight attempts by Kiev-organized terrorist groups from entering Crimea on the night of Monday, August 8, in which one Russian soldier was killed.

"The break-through attempts were covered with massive shelling from the neighboring state and the Ukrainian Armed Forces' armored vehicles. A Russian Defense Ministry serviceman was killed in the firefight," the FSB said.
