A video from
Donetsk music flash mob appeared in weekend to the official website and YouTube channel,
gathering over 300,000 views in just two days.
Channel belongs to the Head of the Donetsk People's Republic,
Alexandander Zakharchenko.
Aleksandr
Vladimirovich Zakharchenko, how did the flash mob video appear at your official
website? Have you participated in the event preparations?
"Of
course not. After the meeting with students the guys told me that they wanted
to respond to that song flash mobs at the railway stations in Ukraine and
Russia. I have to say that
the attitude towards these vocal performances is
mixed here in Donetsk. How does it feel, for example, to hear from that side a
touching song «I love you, life» for a person whose neighbor was killed before by
the Ukrainian shell?", Zakharchenko replied to journalists.
"But the
guys have chosen the right
answer. This song from film «Officers» means lot to me. The main thing is that
the answer is honest. We do not pretend that we forgot and forgave everything.
The thing is that everything we are fighting for, is included in this song. Our
ideology, our history, our struggle for honor and memory about our
ancestors", he continued.
ZAKHARCHENKO: "AIRPORT
IS TOO DANGEROUS, EVEN FOR A SHORT FLASH MOB"
"That is
why I supported the idea of guys, but initially I rejected the place. They
wanted to hold a rally in the airport. But the risk still exists there to get
under artillery fire, that is why I suggested to sing at the railway station.
But actually the risk also exists to get under fire even there. Actually my
participation consisted only of an order to open the railway road and ensuring
a security to the guys", Zakharchenko said.
Only in two
days music flash mob has gathered over 300,000 views in YouTube, with over 6,000 likes and
almost 2,000 comments.
"The guys
appeared to be very artistic. They not only sang the song magnificently, but
also made a video. It is particularly important that first they showed how the
railway station was bombed by AFU in 2014 and 2015 in order not to forget and
unreasonable starry-eyed idealism", he continued.
"So,
after I saw the result I offered them to use my website for publishing the
video. That`s actually the whole story. I can say only one more time – good
job. We can and should be proud of such youths!", Zakharchenko concluded.

The situation in the Donetsk People’s Republic remains tense.
Over the past day the Ukrainian fighters violated
ceasefire 1342times. At that the enemy launched 48 artillery
projectiles of 152mm and 122mm calibre, 313 mortar shells of 120mm
and 82mm calibre, and made eight tank shots. Besides, the fire was
launched from grenade launchers, infantry fighting vehicles and various types
of small arms.
The following Republic’s localities underwent shellings by the
Ukrainian terrorists Gruzevitch, Shaptala, Nikolyuk, Sokolov and
Delyatitsky: Yasinovataya, Vesyoloye, Staromikhailovka,
Aleksandrovka, Yelenovka, Dokuchayevsk, Kominternovo, Leninskoye, Sakhanka,
Oktyabr, Dzerzhinsk and Trudovskiye locality of the
Petrovsky district of Donetsk.
Mortar fire from the Ukrainian terrorists’ positions
in Aleksandrovka locality caused damage to one house on
Gorky Street, 39.
Death of one DPR People’s Militia soldier resulted from
the enemy sniper fire.
Our intelligence continues detecting strengthening of the AFU
positions near the contact line:
- Near Donskoye (24 km away from the contact line) there
were detected five tanks;
- Near Slavnoye (3 km away from the contact line) there
were detected firing positions of four 120mm mortars;
- Near Shirokino (1 km away from the contact line) there
were detected three 82mm mortars.
The data on violations of the Minsk Agreements were passed to the
JCCC and OSCE Mission’s representatives.
Operation of the enemy diversionary and prospecting groups was
detected near Vodyanoye locality. Military personnel of the 73rd
Special operations centre carried out an armed provocation near our positions.
During the fire contact the Ukrainian military dropped back to their initial
positions, at that the enemy lost one killed fighter. According to
our sources in the AFU ranks, died a mercenary from Canada. As we have stated
already, the Republic is under reliable protection, and the enemy will receive
a worthy repulse regardless of aggressor’s training level and nationality.
Today in the DPR formations and units there was started a complex
training of combat readiness the main goal of which is to increase actions’
coordination in performance of objectives within the set time limits among
governing bodies, as well as the DPR People’s Militia personnel.

"Does supporting Russia’s good faith
efforts to resolve conflicts in Syria and Ukraine equitably make me a Krenl
agent or propagandist? Asks American journalist and geopolitical analyst,
Stephen Lendman, in his new article published in
the Global Research.
In previous blog article Lendman wrote about
"Draconian
US Intelligence Authorization act", which was recently passed
in US Congress.
"Fake news is a US government, mainstream
media specialty – proliferating managed news misinformation agitprop,
truth-telling suppressed on issues mattering most."
Propaganda wars precede hot ones. Deception,
popular fiction and Big Lies launch them. Intense Russia bashing risks world
peace, stability and security. Washington’s imperial war machine is humanity’s
greatest threat. Is Trump up to taming it? Will he try once in office?
Or were his campaign pledges just bluster?
World peace and stability depends on which way he goes – along with whether
he’ll defend waning freedoms or eliminate ones left, making America more of a
police state than already.
A previous article discussed House passage of
the draconian US
Intelligence Authorization Act, calling it a huge leap backwards, Senate
passage and Obama signing it into law virtually certain.
It aims to counter nonexistent “measures by
Russia to exert covert influence, including exposing falsehoods, agents of
influence, corruption, human rights abuses, terrorism and assassinations
carried out by the security services or political elites of the Russian
Federation or their proxies.”
It calls truth-telling by writers like myself
and many others “fake news.” It threatens speech, independent media (especially
online) and academic freedoms – the hallmark of a fascist dictatorship, wanting
information and views contrary to official ones suppressed.
Does supporting Russia’s good faith efforts to
resolve conflicts in Syria and Ukraine equitably make me a Kremlin agent or
propagandist? Does praising Putin for wanting peace, not war, multi-world
polarity, and mutual cooperation among all nations?
Does opposing Washington’s imperial war machine
mean I’m unpatriotic? Does patriotism require supporting lawless government
policies? Does opposing might makes right make me an enemy of the state? Does
wanting real democracy, not America’s fantasy version? Does believing in the
inviolability of international and constitutional law principles?
Does wanting peace and security, imperial wars
ended? Does believing in equity and justice for everyone, not just America’s
privileged few?
Am I and many others like me endangered if we
pursue truth-telling? In 1893, Finley Peter Dunne (1867 – 1936) said “(t)he job
of the newspaper is to comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable.” He
said it before the electronic media age, including the Internet, letting
activist writers express views freely.
Will the US Intelligence Authorization Act
change things? Are First Amendment rights threatened with annulment? Will
fascist tyranny replace remaining freedoms? Will truth-telling be criminalized?
Are my days able to write and speak freely
numbered – despite committing no wrongdoing now or earlier? Just truth-telling
on vital domestic and geopolitical issues, what journalism is supposed to be
all about.

The situation in the Donetsk People’s Republic remains tense.

projectiles of 122mm calibre, 246 mortar shells of 120mm and 82mm
calibre, and made ten tank shots. Besides, the fire was launched from grenade
launchers, infantry fighting vehicles and various types of small arms.
The following Republic’s localities underwent shellings by the
Ukrainian terrorists Gruzevitch, Shaptala, Nikolyuk, Sokolov and
Delyatitsky: Zaitsevo, Gorlovka, Yasinovataya, Staromikhailovka,
Aleksandrovka, Belaya Kamenka, Leninskoye, Sakhanka,
Zaichenko and Trudovskiye locality of the Petrovsky
district of Donetsk.
Our intelligence continues detecting strengthening of the AFU
positions near the contact line:
- Near Konstantinovka (20 km away from the contact line)
there was detected the arrival of ten tanks;
- Near Novosyolovka Vtoraya (10 km away from the contact
line) there were threetanks;
- Near Krasnogorovka (3 km away from the contact line)
there were detected four120mm mortars and one self-propelled
howitzer ‘Akatsiya’;
- Near Kurakhovo (23 km away from the contact line) there
was detected the arrival of up to 100 personnel of the Ukrainian
Interior Ministry regiment ‘Dnepr -1’;
- Near Troitskoye (8 km away from the contact line) there
was detected one 152mm self-propelled howitzer ‘Akatsiya’
and three tanks.
The data on violations of the Minsk Agreements were passed to the
JCCC and OSCE Mission’s representatives.
Venal Ukrainian journalists continue sustaining their image of
belonging to one of the oldest professions. Yesterday, in the Ukrainian media
there appeared a number of materials about the alleged explosion of an
ammunition warehouse on the territory of a chemical plant as a result of which
there perished about 100 DPR Army soldiers. Firstly, ammunition
warehouses are never stationed on the territory of chemical plants! Secondly,
consequences of such an explosion would have been recorded already by
international organizations, including the OSCE Mission which is in Donetsk.
It’s not clear towards whom this canard was geared. Unless towards the same
narrow-minded people, as those journalists.
Amid the increase in number of combat and sanitary losses among the
AFU personnel, we established that willing to raise fighting spirit of the
military personnel, the command of the 72nd separate mechanized brigade gave
the order to open gun-fire at the Republic’s territory for the purpose of
inflicting of allegedly reciprocal damage to forces and means of the DPR Armed
Forces.
We also note stepping-up of the Volunteer Ukrainian Corpse The
Right Sector members’ activity on the territories occupied by Ukraine.
Activists are engaged in propaganda activity aimed at increase in the
organization’s rating and attraction of supporters to their ranks. Arrival of a
12-strong unit of Hungarian mercenaries to the 1st separate assault company of
The Right Sector may serve as an example.
In our turn, we are ready to give a resolute repulse to any armed
provocation, regardless of the aggressor’s nationality.
